The Vista Education Foundation is excited to announce a new grant supporting the Vista High School Regimental Marching Band, helping the program purchase an additional concert tuba to meet the needs of its rapidly growing tuba section.
This year, the band expanded to eight tuba players, but only had a limited number of instruments available—including one borrowed from Roosevelt Middle School. Since tubas provide the foundation of the ensemble’s sound, access to proper equipment is essential for both student participation and overall performance quality.
The new tuba will benefit the entire 80–100 member ensemble, improving sound balance, reducing instrument sharing, and supporting dozens of students over the next decade. It will be housed in the school’s Music Department and put into use immediately for concerts, competitions, and community events.
The Foundation is proud to support a program that fosters musicianship, leadership, and teamwork while enriching Vista’s arts community. This investment ensures that the Regimental Band can continue to grow, thrive, and provide exceptional experiences for students for years to come.
